My wife Sally is an incredible cook, keeping me healthy and well fed. She plans and prepares our meals. Have I mentioned she packs my lunches too? Never do I want for something to eat!
Not everyone is as fortunate as I am and no one should go hungry, especially at Christmas. Hunger here in NW Washington and Southern British Columbia is very real. Vancouver’s Union Gospel Mission, the Lighthouse Mission in Bellingham and the Everett Gospel Mission combine to serve more than 1,800 meals a day to those who are homeless, hungry or unemployed.
Hope begins with a meal. On average, $2.46 feeds and cares for one person at your local mission and $50 will feed and care for about 20 people. Can you give the gift of hope this Christmas season? Click here to give where you live and provide hope today.
