Meet with your local guide for a sightseeing tour of Ancient Rome starting at the Arch of Constantine, a triumphal arch erected by the Roman Senate to honour Constantine over Maxentius in 312. Next, visit the Roman Forum, once the center for Roman public life and home to meetings, trials, politic discussions, and where locals gathered to socialize. Before visiting the Colosseum, you will see Palatine Hill, located between the Colesseum and the Roman Forum. Palentine Hill is where Roman Mythology claims the original foundations of Rome are with the myth of Romulus and Remus.
Continuing on your tour you will visit the Colesseum, one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. This amphitheatre known for its Roman gladiator combats and wild animal fights was once able to hold 50,000 spectators! Afterwards your guide will take you on a walk through the ancient city center to see the popular Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.
