Nominated by Renee Allard: My Uncle Cyril was enrolled in the 88th Victoria Fusiliers then was transferred to the 29th Vancouver Infantry Battalion also known as ‘Tobins Tigers’. He was presumed dead August 21, 1917 at Hill 70 in Lens France and no known grave. He has been honoured at Vimy Ridge. The picture of them marching is in front of the Empress Hotel before departing for war.
He lived and sacrificed his life for us, he most definitely deserves this honour. Thank you great uncle for your service and your fight for all man-kind. Your proud great niece, Renée Allard
