We are looking forward to 2017 and feeling reflective. Instead of resolutions we are have words and songs that lead us into the new year. We look toward Jesus as we celebrate a fresh start. What are your words, resolutions or songs for the new year?
Jim
My word for this year is VALUE and my song is Priceless by for King & Country. It’s easy to see value in others, especially the kids and Grandkids but it is hard for me to see it in myself and others I come in contact with. I need to Value all I interact with more than I do.
Lynette
This year RISE is my word. I am inspired by the new Danny Gokey song.
Sam
This year I resolve to live a life with NO REGRETS!
Joe
My word for 2017 is COURAGE.
Courageous by Casting Crowns is inspiring me this year.
Steve
The lyrics of My Victory by Crowder resonate powerfully with me as we head into 2017.
You carried sin and shame the guilt of every man
The weight of all I’ve done nailed into Your hands
Oh, Your love bled for me
Oh, Your blood in crimson streams
Oh, Your death is hell’s defeat
A cross meant to kill is my victory
Larry
My keyword heading into 2017 is one thing God wants to see in us – Trust in Him.
Trust in You by Lauren Daigle is my song for the new year.
Alex
This year I’m going to EMERGE. I’m rising up from circumstances I once thought were devastating. It wasn’t until God literally showed me that His plans are always in my best interest. Even if I can’t see it at the time.
My theme song is Just Be Held by Casting Crowns
So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Sarah
My word for 2017 is Rise.
Rebecca
My word for 2017 is SEE. Sometimes I get so stuck in the daily muddle of life that I don’t stop and really see what God is up to. He leaves us so many breadcrumbs along the trail, but we are often so distracted we don’t see them.
I chose First by Lauren Daigle as my song this year as a simple reminder to look toward Christ first.
