Today I’ve been contemplating the idea of allowing ourselves to be filled up. Do you often feel like you are running, running, running and saying to yourself ‘I don’t have time to be filled up,’ I just have to keep moving. There is a danger in this, friends, that we often forget.
If we are not filled up, we have nothing to give. We are empty.
I don’t know what fills you up. It might be pausing to read scripture, taking a moment to have prayer time, attending church regularly, getting together with a friend to talk about life, closing your eyes and listing to music. Jesus can meet you in so many places. Make time to find your place. Invite Jesus there.
Don’t get overwhelmed trying to make it perfect. Don’t get overwhelmed with the fact you haven’t been consistent. Stop trying to fit into a certain mold. Jesus will meet you wherever you are. Let him.
My encouragement for you today is to stop making excuses. Allow yourself time to be filled. It will be worth it.
We hope you’ve found some hope and encouragement on Facebook this week with our posts. Join us there if you haven’t already.
