We'll spend the day touring the Christian holy sites on the northwestern shores of the Sea of Galilee, the center of Jesus' public ministry. We'll start with the Mount of Beatitudes, the site that commemorates the Sermon on the Mount. Here, amidst beautiful gardens, we’ll enjoy a fabulous view of the Sea of Galilee. Next, we'll visit the lovely lakeside chapel of the Church of the Primacy of Peter where the resurrected Christ prepared a fish breakfast for his disciples on the shores of the lake. Later, we'll reach Capernaum, the "town of Jesus," where we'll tour the ancient synagogue and see the remains of the House of Peter. We'll enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. This afternoon, we'll see the remains of an authentic Jewish fishing boat from Jesus' time and then cruise the lake by boat where we'll have an opportunity to worship on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and an overnight in Tiberias.
