This morning we will travel by cable car to the mountain top fortress of Masada, the last strong hold of the Zealots in their final battle against the Romans. In this UNESCO world heritage site we'll explore the ruins of Herod's lavish getaway. After lunch, we'll visit the lush biblical oasis of Ein Gedi. We'll do a short hike to the David Waterfall. From the Judean Wilderness we'll ascend to Jerusalem and stop for prayer on Mount Scopus at our first sighting of the wonders of the Holy City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
