  • Israel Trip - Day 1 - October 23, 2013

    Make your own way to Vancouver International Airport where you will be greeted by Lori the Promo Girl and check in for your overnight flight to Tel Aviv via Toronto. Enjoy in-flight meals and services.
  • Israel Trip - Day 2 - October 24, 2013

    On arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, the group will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Tel Aviv hotel for check in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
  • Israel Trip - Day 3 - October 25, 2013

    After breakfast we will start our tour with a visit to Old Jaffa (Acts 10), one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth. In Tel Aviv, the first Hebrew city in modern times, we'll visit the Independence Hall where the State of Israel was declared in 1948. Next we'll head north along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea. Caesarea is where Peter went in Acts 10-11 by the command of the Lord and due to this many were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the first time. Late this afternoon we will arrive in Tiberias. Dinner and an overnight in Galilee. **Please note that the Sabbath begins this evening
  • Israel Trip - Day 4 - October 26, 2013

    This morning we will visit the fascinating ruins of Megiddo known as “Armageddon” in the book of Revelation. High up on the ruins of this intriguing site, learn about the role of Armageddon in the end times. Then, we will continue on to Mount Carmel, where we will visit the top of the mount, where the Lord sent fire from heaven as a response to the prayer of Elijah. A stunning view of Israel accompanies the teaching of the calling of a leader to pray for the fire of the Lord in Elijah’s footsteps. This afternoon we will visit Nazareth Village, a recreation of Nazareth during the time of Jesus, where we'll also partake of a biblical style lunch. We will then visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, the site in which the angel Gabriel informed Mary she was to give birth to the Savior. Dinner and an overnight in Galilee.
  • Israel Trip - Day 5 - October 27, 2013

    We'll start the morning with a visit to Tel Dan at the northern border of the Israelite kingdom. We'll do a short hike in the lush nature reserve and then explore fascinating archaeological remains from both the time of the patriarch Abraham, as well as the kings of the northern kingdom of Israel. Then we will move on to Caesarea Philippi where Jesus asked his apostles who they thought that He was. Here He will ask us the same question! This afternoon you will see the OZ 77 audio-visual presentation which vividly depicts the story of the greatest tank battle in history during the Yom Kippur War. The trip back to Tiberias travels along the Syrian border to the look out at Mount Bental where we will enjoy a fabulous lookout into Syria. Dinner and an overnight in Galilee.
  • Israel Trip - Day 6 - October 28, 2013

    We'll spend the day touring the Christian holy sites on the northwestern shores of the Sea of Galilee, the center of Jesus' public ministry. We'll start with the Mount of Beatitudes, the site that commemorates the Sermon on the Mount. Here, amidst beautiful gardens, we’ll enjoy a fabulous view of the Sea of Galilee. Next, we'll visit the lovely lakeside chapel of the Church of the Primacy of Peter where the resurrected Christ prepared a fish breakfast for his disciples on the shores of the lake. Later, we'll reach Capernaum, the "town of Jesus," where we'll tour the ancient synagogue and see the remains of the House of Peter. We'll enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. This afternoon, we'll see the remains of an authentic Jewish fishing boat from Jesus' time and then cruise the lake by boat where we'll have an opportunity to worship on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and an overnight in Tiberias.
  • Israel Trip - Day 7 - October 29, 2013

    This morning we'll visit a beautiful spot on the Jordan River where you will have the opportunity for full immersion baptism or the reaffirmation of your baptismal vows. We will then travel south through the Jordan Valley passing by the ancient city of Jericho, view from a distance this city famed as the oldest in the world. We will stop at Qumran, where a young shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 in a cave. These scrolls are the oldest scriptures of the Bible ever found. Learn about the Essences who wrote the scrolls, highlighting the connection to John the Baptist. We then drive to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea, over 1300 feet below sea level. The quantity of water that evaporates from it is greater than that which flows into it, such that this body of water has the highest concentration of salt in the world! Enjoy free time to soak in the sea and discover that you really do float and perhaps take a mud bath while you are at it. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea
  • Israel Trip - Day 8 - October 30, 2013

    This morning we will travel by cable car to the mountain top fortress of Masada, the last strong hold of the Zealots in their final battle against the Romans. In this UNESCO world heritage site we'll explore the ruins of Herod's lavish getaway. After lunch, we'll visit the lush biblical oasis of Ein Gedi. We'll do a short hike to the David Waterfall. From the Judean Wilderness we'll ascend to Jerusalem and stop for prayer on Mount Scopus at our first sighting of the wonders of the Holy City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. **Please note that the Sabbath begins this evening
  • Israel Trip - Day 9 - October 31, 2013

    The morning begins on Mount Zion, just outside the walls of the Old City. Here, we'll visit two adjoining sites – the traditional Tomb of King David and the Cenacle – the "Upper Room" of the Last Supper. We'll enter the Old City via the Zion Gate and head into the restored Jewish Quarter. Here we'll see the remains of the Roman/Byzantine Cardo and the "Broad Wall" – remains of the city from the Old Testament period. At the Burnt House, we'll view an audio-visual presentation concerning Jerusalem's destruction by the Romans. We'll descend below street level and visit the Wohl Archaeological Museum – an exhibition of the remains of mansions of the city's aristocracy during Jesus' time. After lunch we'll have time for private prayer at the Western Wall, the holiest accessible place on earth for the Jewish People. We'll continue to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park/Davidson Center. In the Davidson Center we'll view a wonderful audio-visual presentation that provides a virtual tour of the Second Temple as archaeologists believe it appeared to Jewish pilgrims of that period. We’ll explore monumental ruins of the Second Temple complex built by Herod the Great and stand on the broad staircase, likely used by Jesus himself for approaching the Temple. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. This evening we'll enjoy the spectacular sound & light show at the Tower of David Museum. Dinner/overnight in Jerusalem.
  • Israel Trip - Day 10 - November 1, 2013

    This morning we'll go underground and tour the Western Wall Tunnels where we'll see parts of the remains of the Holy Temple only recently exposed. Next we'll begin our walk along the Via Dolorosa. After lunch, we'll continue following the Stations of the Cross until the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of Calvary/Golgotha (Crucifixion of Jesus) and the Tomb of Christ. Leaving the Christian Quarter, we'll walk through the Arab market and exit the Old City at the Jaffa Gate. We’ll end the day celebrating Holy Communion at the Garden Tomb where we will reflect on the resurrected Christ. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
  • Israel Trip - Day 11 - November 2, 2013

    The day starts with a panoramic view of the Holy City from the top of the Mount of Olives. Walking down the Palm Sunday route, we'll reach the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Basilica of the Agony (Church of All Nations). Our visit within the Old City walls will start at the Lion’s (St. Stephen’s) Gate. We'll visit the beautiful Basilica of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus cured a person who had been lame for 38 years. We then travel to Bethlehem where we'll have lunch and visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepperd’s Field. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem
  • Israel Trip - Day 12 - November 3, 2013

    We'll spend an emotional morning at Yad Vashem, Israel's official memorial site to the six million victims of the Holocaust. After lunch, we'll head to the Israel Museum where we'll visit the Shrine of the Book (depository of the Dead Sea Scrolls) and the fabulous model of Second Temple Period Jerusalem. In the late afternoon, we'll visit the lovely village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. Farewell dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
  • Israel Trip - Day 13 - November 4, 2013

    Today the group will be transferred back to Ben Gurion International Airport for your return flight to Vancouver via Toronto. Enjoy in-flight meals and services.

* There are hundreds of religious sites to visit in Israel. Our itinerary has been developed to visit as many of the most impactful sites as possible. Due to logistical changes and other unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to alter the itinerary.
