Bring a friend, pastor, priest, bible scholar, sceptic......everyone is encouraged to attend. Q & A’s: A panel will take questions after the movie.

BASED ON A TRUE STORY:

Edward Fudge, a young Bible-belt preacher, gets a surprise visit from an eccentric stranger who has a bizarre request. He wants Fudge to investigate Hell.

Son of a respected church leader known for his conservative religious views, Edward is confident that whatever the Bible really teaches is right. Trained in biblical languages and theology, he finds the proposal intriguing. He agrees to take it on, not knowing where it will lead. He dedicates a year of his life to a systematic study of Hell – and his life will never be the same again.

As Fudge immerses himself in research, other aspects of his life begin to crumble. Leaders of his own denomination attack him for suggesting that members of other churches can be saved.

His own congregation – people he loves and serves – fires him after he invites a black man to pray from the podium. The publishing company he has worked for since childhood terminates his employment because he refuses to recant his liberal positions.

He becomes so committed to his research that his relationship with his wife and children begins to suffer. And, most importantly, in the course of his investigation some of his core beliefs about God and judgment and eternity are shaken from their foundations. Ultimately, Fudge emerges as a defender of faith and Scripture, and a champion for God's love.

Today Edward Fudge is a well-respected author, lecturer, and theologian. The book that resulted from his research, The Fire That Consumes, is a compelling study on the subject of Hell and eternal torment. It stands as a testimony to a man who had the courage to search for truth and to pay the price for what he found.

Tickets are $7 at the door.

05/25/2013 Moms Connect Conference 2013

05/25/2013, 9am-4pm, at The Chapel @ Peace Portal Alliance Church, 15128 27B Avenue, Surrey

Moms Connect Conference 2013

Moms Connect is culturally transforming for women's ministry, especially for mothers with young children, because it develops community and intimacy among believers and challenges women in their walk with God. Come out and listen to Kimberley Morrison help participants understand how to develop a mom's group ministry by teaching principles of Gospel-centered teaching, prayer, mentorship, and community.

Charlie, a pathologically shy young man, is a little down on his luck of late. His best friend "Froggy,"a munitions expert in the British Army, treats Charlie to a vacation at a small fishing lodge in rural Georgia. He announces to all that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and can't speak a lick of English. And so the fun begins. As Charlie listens in on sinister plots and scandalous revelations, he unwittingly becomes the catalyst to righting what has been wronged. Written by one of America's great comic writers, this is a hilarious play with a classic "good versus bad" story at its heart.
