Do you ever feel like you want to be closer to God but it’s just not happening? That’s where I find myself right now. I want to be closer to Him, but... so where’s the problem? I’ve been a believer for decades. What’s the deal? Is God not holding up His end of things?

When I’m really honest, God hasn’t forgotten about me. He’s not too busy with others. He has never broken a promise. That pretty much points back to looking at what I need to change on my end. In the Bible it says “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” So what things am I doing that help me to draw near to Him… and what things am I choosing to do or not do that pull me away from Him? I don’t know where you’re at in your walk with God, but I need to change some priorities.
