Joy to the World! A Gospel Christmas Celebration

They have sung for a host of luminaries including Barbra Streisand, David Foster, and Josh Groban and have starred in TV specials and radio broadcasts. Now Vancouver’s renowned Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir is preparing to sing for you at Joy to the World!

Joy to the World  includes seasonal favourites like The Little Drummer Boy (given a funky gospel beat) and The Holly and the Ivy (featuring saxophonist Ingrid Stitt in a smooth jazz treatment),  Amy Grant’s powerful Emmanuel,  gospel arrangements of classic Spirituals, and original Christmas works destined to become favourites. All of it is infused with the choir’s high-energy  trademark gospel sound that will have you smiling, singing, and grooving along in your seat. The Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir is thrilled to welcome 2013-2014 Artist in Residence, Crystal Hicks, to Joy to the World. Crystal has been a featured vocalist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Tenors, and the Toronto Mass Gospel Choir, and is featured on “Shine the Light” the latest CD by the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir.
