SAMC Theatre at TWU Presents: The Drowsy Chaperone

Glamour and giggles abound as Janet, a Broadway star, leaves the spotlight for a storybook romance with her dashing fiancé.

But Janet’s cigar-smoking producer and a pair of gangsters-in-disguise won’t let her leave without a fight. The bride’s chaperone isn’t too good at her job, so will there be wedding bells…or scandal and sabotage?

With some tap dance, trickery, and a well-timed airplane landing, love just might conquer all.

"Planet of the Apes?" - Apologetics Forum of SnoCo

Chris Ashcraft, a Christian educator and Creation scientist, will speak on the topic “Planet of the Apes?” A description of the lecture follows.

Secular Paleoanthropologists assert adamantly that humans are the descendants of ape-like ancestors. Darwin’s seminal theory led naturalists inexorably to this conclusion, but the Bible clearly states that we were created distinct from the animals and in the image of God.

This presentation examines the evidence used to support human evolution, including Neanderthals, Homo erectus, and Australopithecines. Are these ancient hominids really missing links capable of substantiating human evolution or has the truth been distorted to support the materialistic evolutionary worldview?

Chris Ashcraft is a Christian educator, creation scientist, and speaker employed as high school science teacher at Cedar Park Christian chools where he provides instruction in Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Life Science.
