Regeneration at Coastal Church

Regeneration is a series of contemporary meetings for young people to experience dynamic worship and learn biblical perspectives on issues that are relevant to their everyday lives – “a church for the unchurched”. Regeneration happens every Wednesday evening through August 27th.

The event will feature various speakers and worship bands, as well as other multimedia and artistic presentations. Every evening ends with an opportunity to hang out and connect with other people, while complimentary refreshments are being served.

National Tour of Ancient Hebrew Scrolls Exhibit

On Friday, August 8, St. Brendan’s Anglican Church in Bellingham will host a free exhibition of Ancient Hebrew Scrolls, sponsored by the Christian Heritage Foundation located in Cleburne, Texas. This exhibition will present the only complete set of the entire Tanakh in the whole world that you can see. The other three known sets are in the Vatican and are not open to public viewing. All 39 books of the Old Testament will be present in 16 Ancient Hebrew scrolls. In addition, the display will include 6 Torah Scrolls, one as old as 600 years, as well as a 300 year old Haftarah, a collection of Torah portions from the Prophets used during times of gentile reign over Israel. The exhibition will open 5:00 pm and end at 7:30 pm. There will be a 40-minute lecture about the process of producing the scrolls and the ways in which God has preserved his Word at 6:00 PM.

Northwest Washington Fair

6 days of FUN for the whole family! Entertainment, Carnival rides, animal exhibits, still life exhibits, and fair food.....

For over 100 years the Northwest Washington Fair has highlighted the agriculture of the Whatcom County area. Dairy and beef cattle,  horses and many other species of livestock are shown by 4H, FFA and  Open Class exhibitors. There are hundreds of exhibits featuring baked goods, canning, flowers and fresh produce grown locally.

Visit the Small Animal Experience in the Henry Jansen Ag Center to see this  exhibit featuring young or miniature animals. The Agriculture Adventure Center, located on the grassy area north of the Grandstand, highlights Whatcom County agriculture with tractor exhibits, the Farming for Life exhibit and you can even milk "Twister" the cow! And be sure to come and see the newborn calves.
