Our Anniversary... Guess How Many Years
1 0

Boy, how time flies. My wife Sharon and I just celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary. Actually, you could say our 66th anniversary. You see, when we got married, our pastor wrote the wrong date on the marriage certificate and so we actually have 2 anniversaries each year. It’s amazing that that much time has passed. I have to give my wife all the credit. I’ve lived with myself my whole life, it isn’t always easy, yet she has done so with wonderful grace all this time.

As I ponder God's goodness to us, I can’t help but think about the example a marriage is supposed to be. A picture of Christ and His bride, the church. That marriage is over 2000 years old! What a testament to God’s unfailing love for His children. So, often we don’t do such a good job of being ‘the bride’. I know I fail. But, the good news is that Christ continues to pursue us and call us to Him. So, whether you have a ring on your finger or not, if you are a part of the body you do have an anniversary to celebrate!

On our anniversary in Oct it will be 31 years. No one in our family felt it was a good mix-Canadian and American, what ever that has to do with it We both felt the hand of God strongly upon us and still do. With any marriage there is always a fair share of ups and downs. However, with God truly pressence YOU CAN DO IT! I am His Bride and he is My Love

  • How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
  • The world in which one person lives is too limited and restricted. When rubbing shoulders with another, we gain a panoramic view, which allows us to see the whole picture. "As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects man" (Proverbs 27:19). That's so picturesque! People provide a clear reflection of what is in the heart. A mirror goes only skin deep. The counsel of a friend reflects what is down inside.
