  • Well, we’ve made it to summer. I know the calendar is a little slow on this one but, trust me, it’s summer!  Just ask any 10 year old.  For a lot of families, there may be some form of camping in their summer plans.  Whether it’s in a tent or 40 foot motorhome, what is it about camping that we love?  I have got to hand it to moms who get out of their comfort zone and go places and sleep in things they themselves would NEVER do, EXCEPT for the kids.

  • I am going to get out of my comfort zone and share something with you. This past 15 months have been the most difficult for my family and most emotional season of our lives so far. I've been feeling truly devastated and alone, even in a roomful of people. So, I've been doing something ALL DAY and NIGHT. I am listening to Praise 106.5 not just playing the songs, but REALLY listening to the words. It has truly been a healing balm to my broken heart.

  • I’m looking at that question in a different light recently, because I am now a part of both the Twitter universe as well as Instagram! As such, I have a gazillion people offered to me to follow. Being from an ancient civilization known as ‘baby boomers’ this is taking some getting used to. My theory, so far, has been to take it slow and not follow too many too soon.

  • Traveling In The Footsteps of Paul
'm still walking on air! What another AMAZING trip for our Praise listeners. Just a couple weeks ago we were traveling "In the Footsteps of Paul" through Phillipi, Athens, Thessoliniki, Patmos and so many more wonderful places.

  • 2014 wasn’t met with the Joy and Warm fuzzies I was expecting but filled with some very difficult times for our family... filled with so much loss and heartache. The energy and emotions of our family seemed to be pulled in all directions. However, as crazy as life's hurdles and unending demands have been...

  • I’m an avid outdoorsman. I love being out in the ‘garden’ God has given mankind. Although in a fallen state, it’s still spectacular, and my experiences have taught me that it can be scary too. A couple of weeks ago Sharon and I spent 5 days with friends...

  • I get way too excited over simple things sometime…for example flipping the calendar in the studio to a new month. WOW! It’s hard to believe it is already July. Can’t beat the beautiful weather over the long Canada Day weekend and it looks like it will continue through the Fourth of July.

  • Boy, how time flies. My wife Sharon and I just celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary. Actually, you could say our 66th anniversary. You see, when we got married, our pastor wrote the wrong date on the marriage certificate and so we actually have 2 anniversaries each year. It’s amazing that that much time has passed. I have to give my wife all the credit. I’ve lived with myself my whole life, it isn’t always easy, yet she has done so with wonderful grace all this time.

  • I remember two years ago when I was asked to host a tour of PRAISE listeners to go to Israel… what a dream come true. A life-changing experience for me for sure… I have made some incredible memories and some wonderful lifelong friendships. And now, an opportunity to go on “Paul’s Journey” this Fall.

  • Probably depends on who you ask. For some, the rise of the crocus or the budding of the rhododendron has signaled the much anticipated arrival of Spring. For others, the thermometer hasn’t reached that special temperature of “just right”! Spring is a time of re-birth and fresh starts.

  • 5 Pathways To Summer Adventures

It's not often we take a road trip for over a week, but that's exactly what my wife Kathy & I did this past month. Aside from the engine on our beloved aging Toyota van deciding to "retire" on our ride home... we both felt this was a very good journey together. Read More
