Background: Marv Mickley is the General Manager and 10 a.m. to 12 noon host for PRAISE 106.5. He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota where his parents worked with Native Americans at small mission church.
Marv moved to Seattle to attend Seattle Pacific College and earn a BA degree in Psychology. He also began working part-time at CRISTA Ministries' Seattle stations. Marv moved to Lynden to launch the Christian format on CRISTA's newly acquired FM station in 1981 (KLYN). In 1995 it became PRAISE 106.5.
Family: Marv is married to Sally, who is a Registered Nurse. They have three grown children, Josh, Chari and Katie, who now are married with families of their own. That has provided Marv and Sally with six grandchildren. Marv has a special love for buying and selling cars and has owned fifty (50) of them. He also enjoys reading and fitness training.
