This week’s Gold Star Teacher is Nancy Bosma from Surrey Christian School!
Nominated by Gwen Reynolds: Mrs. Bosma is an excellent Kindergarten teacher. She is gentle, kind, and engaging. She is the kind of person you want to be around and be like. She easily puts children and parents at ease. She radiates joy, peace, patience, and self control.
My oldest child is in his first year of school and has Mrs. Bosma for his teacher. One of the things the teachers at Surrey Christian do during a child’s first year of school is come to their home. This is an incredibly special day. I believe part of the home visits was to give Mrs. Bosma time to pray for us and our son.
I am so thankful to Mrs. Bosma for joyfully taking time to spend with us, loving and supporting the families in her class. I can’t explain how happy it makes my heart and how I treasure the support we are going to receive this year from her. I’m also very thankful that now my husband and I understand how to teach our son the appropriate ways to communicate what he is feeling instead of us just ‘punishing’ bad behaviour. Thanks, Mrs. Bosma!
