I tried not to take it personally, but what my phone was telling me every other day is that I’m just about out of memory. Well, to be more specific my phone was in that condition, but I knew it wasn’t alone.
If I didn’t make the necessary room by deleting apps, data, photos, videos, files, files, and more files … I would be missing out on a new system upgrade. There just simply wasn’t enough room for it.
Isn’t it interesting how the physical challenges that appear on the path of life can actually be teachers of spiritual lessons?
Dare I say… we all need a system upgrade in so many different ways? The ultimate upgrade in my life, in whatever way it manifest itself, is what I trust to God. Before I get there, looks like I need to delete a bunch of stuff that’s cluttering my path and takes my focus off of what’s right & true.
The need to simplify is recurring theme in my life. If yours seems, too busy, too claustrophobic, too filled with the useless apps that demand our time… let’s take a hint from local author Bob Goff. Every Thursday Bob picks something to quit.
“Change can be good,” Bob says. “[Quitting] frees you up and it works. It’s not for everybody. It might drive you crazy, and if that’s the case, don’t do it.”
Food for thought. My best wishes for you in that quest!
