In a world where silence too often shields injustice, voices like Rachael Denhollander’s shine as powerful beacons of hope and change. On September 18th, McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon will welcome Rachael—an abuse survivor, advocate, and the first woman to publicly speak out against the abuse within the U.S. gymnastics team—for an evening dedicated to awareness, education, and healing.
This special event invites the community to come together, learn how to prevent sexual abuse, and discover meaningful ways to support survivors. With compassion, courage, and clarity, Rachael will shed light on the realities of abuse—affecting 1 in 4 children and women in college-age groups—and share how we can all play a role in creating safe, informed, and empowered communities. It’s more than an event—it’s a step toward breaking the silence, and building a future where every voice is heard, and every child is protected.
Tune into Good Days with Lynette, weekdays between 10am – 2:00pm.
