Brant and Sherri have a sit-down about words commonly mispronounced. Words like “rural”, “brewery”, “Marlborough”, “posthumously”, “hamster”, “realtor”, “hero”, “proselytize”, “abominable”, and “roof”. Sherri has things to say about Brant’s pronunciations, lol.
How do YOU pronounce these?
Transcription:
Brant:
Words we use all the time that we have a hard time pronouncing.
Sherri:
Okay.
Brant:
Top on the list. Rural.
Sherri:
Yeah. Rural
Brant:
Top one. Brewery. Top one.
Number three was Marlborough.
Sherri:
I don’t use that often.
Brant:
No offense. Again, I understand that some people smoke, but if you’re using the word Marlborough all the time,
Sherri:
You have bigger concerns than pronouncing it. It’s other things to consider.
Brant:
All the time. Posthumously. Worcestershire sauce
Sherri:
Posthumously is hard.
Brant:
Yeah. Sixth. Anemone. Hamster. It’s not hampster. A lot of people say hampster.
Sherri:
Okay.
Brant:

Sherri:

Brant:
I actually say realator.
Sherri:
You are? Realator?
Brant:
People say realator all the time. You haven’t heard that?
Sherri:
Oh, no I haven’t.
Brant:

Brant:
Yeah. Yeah.
Sherri:

Brant:

Brant:

Sherri:
I can’t remember which…
Brant:
I thought you were talking about a dog. What are you talking about?
The thing over a house, A roof. I honestly don’t know which one is it. Honestly, I talked myself out of it. I do.
Sherri:
It’s roof.
Brant:
Roof?
Sherri:
Yeah.
Brant:
Roof. Not roof.
Sherri:
