I had already chosen the word “FEARLESS” to be MY word for the New Year that I would focus on. But after the “Dare to Be” event last Sunday with Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill, I was convinced that this word was what God had for me. Natalie’s words came at the perfect time.
The last couple of months have been filled with some very tumultuous times for our extended family and the energy and emotions of our family seemed to be pulled in so many directions. As crazy as life has been, or as Natalie says…”Being IN the hurricane,” I have felt God’s peace that passes understanding and I have felt HIS arms around me and my family. It’s the type of peace that calms, assures and strengthens you.
I’ve learned that being fearless has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with Him. And through Him, we can walk tall and proud and through life’s storms and trials, because we’re not doing it alone. God is with us ALWAYS.
“God did not give us a spirit of fear and timidity, but one of power and love and self control.” (2 Tim. 1:7)
