Brant:
Tips for you if you’re looking for a job, and this is important. Phrases you should not use on a resume. They don’t mean anything, I guess, or whatever. Don’t say go-getter. Don’t say think outside the box. Don’t say value added.
Sherri:
Value added?
Brant:
I wouldn’t say that anyway. Results driven.
Sherri:
Okay.
Brant:
So that’s the list. Results driven and synergy. Don’t say synergy. I was kind of surprised because I could think of phrases I think you shouldn’t use too.
Sherri:
Alright, would you like to add to this list?
Brant:
Well, in your, don’t mention complete meltdown. I wouldn’t be a phrase I would use in a resume.
Sherri:
Yeah, it probably wouldn’t highlight the best part of you.
Brant:
Suing all my former employers. I wouldn’t say that.
Sherri:
Yeah. They should really learn that on their own.
Brant:
The phrase put ’em in a headlock. I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t even say headlock at all in a resume.
Sherri:
These are great tips.
Brant:
If you have to mention something, say something else.
