Military Hero: Caesar Vigilienzone
Nominated by: Christina Winmill
I nominate Caesar S. Viglienzone my nephew and his father, Cdr. D. E. Viglienzone (USN ret.) & mother, Norma L. Viglienzone. Caesar came from a family history of service in different branches of the military on both sides if his family. He grew up enjoying life first in Hawaii then later in California with family, friends, scuba diving, & music etc. A musician, he played guitar and drums in a band. As he grew up, his desire to contribute, sense of duty and love of country caused him to postpone college and to enlist after graduation.
Caesar deployed with the 101st Airborne to Iraq and was killed in action on February 1st, 2006.
In his all too short life, Caesar touched many lives and is deeply loved. His parents continue to work tirelessly in support of others in the broader military family. Thank you for this chance to thank all those in the military & for the opportunity to tell you about my wonderful, sensitive hero nephew and his dear heroic parents.
Thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for this country and for your serviceĀ – We are grateful.
