Janice nominated Pastor Doug and here is what she said:
“For 29 years, Pastor Doug Wiebe has faithfully preached the gospel at our church. Through changing seasons and the transitions that many churches experience, he has never wavered in pointing us to Jesus and the truth of God’s Word. I appreciate the steady, faithful presence he has been for our church family. Week after week, for nearly three decades, he has prepared and preached messages that have encouraged us, challenged us, and helped us grow in our faith.
That kind of commitment is a gift, and it’s easy to take for granted just how much it means until you stop and think about all the lives he has touched. I would love to bless Pastor Doug with this getaway as a small way of saying thank you. After so many years of giving his time, care, and energy to our church, it would be wonderful to see him receive a chance to rest and be refreshed.”
Pastor Doug will enjoy a 2-night getaway at Capernwray Harbour on beautiful Thetis Island to be refreshed. Thank you to Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre for helping us honor pastor Doug and other pastors in our community. We’re blessed to be surrounded by pastors who continue to serve and love others with the heart of Jesus.
