Brant:
There’s lots happening in politics. Let’s get you caught up on all the political news. Well, wait a second. I can’t. I can’t because animal news. Animal news is breaking out. Instead, we’re breaking animal news. This is from the field. A couple rescued an elk who was caught in a wire fence. True story. There’s really not many details. They had some wire cutters in their truck, so they freed this elk, and the elk ran off with its family.
Sherri:
Please tell me there is something in this story.
Brant:
There is. I want that. I look for opportunities like that. I want to save an elk or something like that because you know what’s going to happen. It’s going to be where, you save the elk, right? And it’s walking off into the distance and it’s with its family, and it’s silhouette against the sky…
Sherri:
Of course.
Brant:
before they go. And then it looks back, and then you look at it and you do a little knowing nod. And it does a knowing nod and walks up. And then years later, I’m in trouble. And maybe it’s being mugged in a city or something. And I’m like, oh no. And then you just hear this wham. And then the guy goes, sprawling who was robbing me.
Sherri:
Robbing you in the alley?
Brant:
I’m like, oh my goodness. It’s that elk. It’s that. And we recognize each other. And then he looks at me knowingly and I look at him, and then we do the little nod thing and I walk off.
Sherri:
Now that’s not the breaking animal news. That’s a breaking animal fantasy.
Brant:
Anyway, I just wanted, I want that. I want that. I want that a lot.
