Many people struggle with the question of whether God still wants them. Even though I’ve been raised in church culture, I still wonder about it. Jesus came into a chaotic world to deliver the message that God has not given up on humanity. He hasn’t given up on me. He hasn’t given up on you.

Just being honest here, but I think a lot of us struggle with this question, “Does God still want me?” And maybe that’s you. A lot of us, if you’ve been raised in church culture, I have, so I would never just easily come out and say that because of course I know better than that. But deep down, I’m still kind of wondering about it. And I have to keep going back and reading the gospels and the stories Jesus tells and the way he treats people, and it’s apparent, I mean, Jesus is born into a world of chaos, and this is by design. God introduces himself in a world of chaos with this message of,
I have not given up on you. I’m with you. God is with us, Emmanuel.
Like this whole Jesus thing is saying to us, I want you back. And you may not believe me. You may be like, well, I’ll wait and I’ll see some miraculous sign that’ll give me a sign that God still wants me when there’s some big, miraculous thing. But I wouldn’t do that. I mean, it’s even possible that right now I’m talking to you for a reason. Like you have the radio on for a reason. God would even use the odd radio show to tell you how he feels about you today. That he wants you back. He wants you back. And he’s fully aware, by the way of the stuff that goes through your head, the sinful stuff, the dirty stuff, the things you’ve done fully aware. Still wants you back.
