Brant and Sherri discuss a new app that uses AI to mimic Jimmy Stewart’s voice for bedtime stories. Brant finds the concept interesting but notes that Stewart, known for his roles in movies like “It’s a Wonderful Life,” often yelled in his performances. He suggests this might be due to Stewart’s stage background where projection was necessary, lol.

Brant:
Huh. It’s supposed to be really restful. I know. I know. He’s very popular this time of year too. But this headline says, let AI [artificial intelligence], let AI Jimmy Stewart put you to sleep with the new calm bedtime story. It’s an app.
Sherri:
Did you find his voice comforting?
Brant:
No. No. I think it’s cool, but it’s like he’s always, that’s been my contingent, he’s always yelling.
Sherri:
Yes. In the movie. It’s a Wonderful Life.
Brant:
Yeah. Well, so in his movies, he’s always yelling.
Sherri:
Okay. All of them?
Brant:
Yeah. I guess he came out of a stage background people project on stage. So when they shifted to movies, that took him a while ago. Hey, you got a microphone?
Sherri:
Okay. So, would you like to demonstrate for us what nighttime story would sound like?
Brant:
Yeah, if I’m trying to go to sleep…
Sherri:
Yeah.
Brant [as Jimmy Stewart]
Hey, I, I, I, I, I don’t understand. I don’t know why you’re saying such a thing.
Bro. We’re all in a little room here with…
Sherri:
I want to go to bed.
Brant:
…the Christmas tree. Don’t need to yell like that.
