SEMI-FINALS – WEEK 2

Amelia Charles is a worship leader and recording artist from Victoria, BC, Canada. Amelia combines her fresh new pop sounds with touches of retro soul and Gospel. Her lyrics are poetic, yet raw and real and touch on identifiable topics such as joy, pain, fear, insecurities and more.

Amelia always loved music but had never intended to pursue it. However God had other plans for her and has continually opened doors for her to step through. In 2018 the opportunity came for her to record her first album and in 2019 the album Lost & Found. [Independent releases] Throughout this experience Amelia’s passion for music has grown exponentially and so has her desire to continue writing encouraging music that both young and old can relate to.

We’re a worship team based out of Chilliwack, B.C, and love to write and play music for and with our Southside Church family! We started writing original music a couple of years ago, and have released several originals songs and covers on our “Southside Worship” Spotify page. We love to combine biblical truth, with musical excellence, passion and integrity to bring the hope of Jesus to as many people in our city as we can!

Stephen Gasperetti is a singer/songwriter from the PNW. He began playing guitar at eleven years old and quickly found a passion for music. Growing up leading worship in church and cultivating his love of music, he discovered joy in writing his own songs. Last year, Stephen recorded his first studio EP, “Light Invades”, at Feng Sway Studio in Vancouver, WA. “Light Invades” released March 8, 2019. Through his music Stephen seeks to declare hope in the midst of darkness.
