Brant and Sherri discuss a recent warning from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) against snuggling hedgehogs due to a risk of salmonella. He expresses his disappointment with the warning because he loves hedgehogs and believes they are meant to be cuddled. Sherri takes a moment to make an official statement and clarify that they are not advising listeners to ignore the CDC’s warning. Clarity is key here, lol.

Brant:
Hope you’re having a great day out there in the radio land.
Sherri:
What?
Brant:
Got to look at… oh, hang on a second. I’ve just been handed some breaking news!
Sherri:
That is literally almost like two different people.
Brant:
Well, I was trying to sound like a legit DJ guy.
Sherri:
Okay. that’s what was going on? Yeah. You had to announce that was, yeah, that was unnerving.
Brant:
But I’ve interrupted that with reality
Sherri:
For this.
Brant:
Yeah. Breaking animal news. Animals are doing stuff all over the world and nobody wants to talk about it. This is actually a terrible story. Let’s be honest with you. It’s terrible. The CDC, so the Centers for Disease Control, the CDC has officially warned against snuggling hedgehogs. Apparently salmonella is an issue. So, they’re basically like, oh, don’t snuggle your hedgehog. Well, hedgehogs are huge right now. They are. They’re catching on in terms of pet popularity and for good reason. They’re excellent pets. I’ve heard this from a lot of people, and everybody loves to cuddle ’em. They get their little spines and they always look so happy, and this is like, oh, but you can get… so basically we saw you having fun out there, so stop it.
Sherri:
Okay. Just for legal reasons, I want to be clear. Are you telling people to go against the advice of the CDC?
Brant:
Okay, for legal reasons, I’m not saying anything, but the breaking story is that the Centers for Disease Control wants to ruin everybody’s fun and, I just, we don’t like it here. We don’t like that.
